Description jamespb 2007-08-04 17:20:20 UTC
Add 'exclude directory' option to find in files so we can do a find in files that doesn't search vendor. If you freeze
rails, your searches include a lot of .rb files that aren't relevant.

Hi James. Do you mean "Find in Projects", ctrl-f in Projects view, or "Go To File" dialog or something else?
Comment 2 jamespb 2008-02-13 17:15:44 UTC
I think I originally meant "Find in Projects," but it would be useful in both places.

Maybe something like an "exclusions" list, where directories can be marked as excluded from any/all of

- find in projects
- go to file
- go to type

the vendor directory is the most obvious, but even there it would be useful to have fine-grained control over what is

Ok, reassigning to appropriate component (general IDE feature).
Could you file a separate issue for Go To File (utilities/jumpto component)

NetBeans 7.2 has configurable Ignore List for searching in projects.
