Yes, what you can see is what you can print!

just try to print a uml diagram from File - Print menu.
you can just print everything that is visible in your view not your complete diagram.
even if some section of your diagram replaced with project menu.

UML provides print preview/print functionality on the diagram toolbar, 6th button from the left.  Converting this into
an enhancement request to merge the UML print with the standard print.

Yes but unfortunately UML diagram print that you say have a very bad bug see there.  Issue 124401
