This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
1. Create a free-form project whose project folder is not contained in the project root; 2. Add the project root to CVS; 3. Branch it, switching to branch; 4. Even if Show Versioning labels is on, labels are not shown neither for the project nodes nor for the two nodes in the Files view. Opening the second node in Files show the label, though.
Reassigning to "java" for evaluation.
Please explain exactly which folder and how you imported into CVS? Let's say you have folder called 'freeform' which contains all sources, test sources, build script, etc. In the new project wizard you first pick 'freeform' folder as Location and in the field Project Folder you enter freeform-netbeans. Then what folder of those two did you actually imported into CVS and how? Please adjust Version field in Issuezilla. Thanks
freeform would be added to CVS. I actually face this issue with existing projects that dates back to NB 3.5 days, so I'm not sure CVS -> Import Into Repository would not import freeform-netbeans as well (which is the required cenario). The reason version is current is because I can reproduce it with any 6.1 build, including 6.1-beta. I'm changing it to 6.1.
OK, thanks for info. And how did you import the folder? In Favorites View?
As I said, I actually face this issue with old existing projects which I added to CVS in NB 3.5 days, but I guess importing from favorites would do.
moving opened issues from TM <= 6.1 to TM=Dev
