When using a table component, it is possible to right click and select Table Layout to alter the appearance / data
binding of specific columns.  I often use this to enter value expressions that use HTML for better presentation. 
However, the single line entry is difficult to work with for potentially long expressions.  Please provide an ellipsis
button with a separate dialogue box for entering longer expressions.  See attached image for clarity.
