Description Geertjan Wielenga 2008-06-27 09:55:12 UTC
When there are many categories, would be nice if user could disable/re-enable some of them to narrow the search. That
should be part of the Quick Search UI, maybe via a new panel in the Options window.

I thought about it too, but I remember olangr saying that we should push hard to limit number of providers to not more
then 4-5. Then you don't need any enable/disable support for such small number of providers.
Comment 2 Geertjan Wielenga 2008-06-27 10:23:02 UTC
But with a public API, we have no way of controlling how many providers are created.
Comment 3 Ondrej Langr 2008-06-27 11:02:24 UTC
As dsimonek says, I think it's not needed until the number of providers exceeds certain limit. And better way to go is
to not let it happen :).
Comment 4 Geertjan Wielenga 2008-06-27 11:04:23 UTC
Then we should not make the API public.
