build 20080904 Currently the location for the next element to be created when Ctrl+Enter is pressed is probably determined by the offset from the upper-left corner of the previous element. This caused some smaller elements, eg, decision, initial state, final state, to be full contained in other elements. Perhaps calculating the location for the next element based on the lower-right corner of the previous element is better. See attached screenshot for the elements created in each of the 5 diagrams. Elements were created in order of displayed from the palette from left to right and top to bottom.

I don't think this is a real issue. No matter what default locations we decide for elements created by Ctr+Enter, these locations are just temporary ones and users have to use arrow keys or mouse to move them to their desired location any way.
elements are separated from each other and if some overlaps it's not an issue or not even p3 issue. I agree with previous comment, if it's still considered as valid one, feel free to reopen but may be it should be p4.
