Description John Baker 2008-12-17 20:33:25 UTC
After creating a database and adding a connection, I don't see a way to create a schema so I can create tables, etc.
Comment 1 John Baker 2008-12-17 20:37:55 UTC
I guess I should mark this as a task ?

John, By any chance did you notice that after creating a new database (I assume it was MySQL), that the new connection
it created did not properly refresh? The context menu sees it as connected, but it renders as if it's not connected.
Refresh made it right. I'll file an issue. Just wondering if you saw this happen.

Also, would you agree that this would be an enhancement, not a defect? You can create tables after creating a new db.
Hmm... Maybe you did see the problem I just described and so thought there was nothing you could do from there?
Comment 3 John Baker 2008-12-17 20:46:04 UTC
After creating a Java DB database, a connection is added but not connected.

The use case for this issue is
1) Create new database
2) For the new connection, connect if not already connected
3) Try to create a table. Wait, I want to create a schema first

I can't find any menuitem for creating a schema

I guess Task is the right issue type. I thought I changed this but maybe I changed the wrong issue :(

Understood. What I saw is an actual defect. I'll create a new issue.

For this one: Task? Enhancement? I'm not sure.
