This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
Consider adding a report menu option that will generate PDF based reports based on selectable content. Major selectable content subjects could be: NetBeans version and initially installed bundle NetBeans startup errors/warnings NetBeans Runtime errors/warnings System Properties NetBeans Properties Installed Plugins Usage Statistics User Projects Project Import History Etc. Note that many projects have Quality Assurance and Configuration Management teams that may appreciate formally collecting this information. In addition, if this type of reporting data can be collected, it can support testing and development of projects built on top of NetBeans. And of course the information can assist the NetBeans community with troubleshooting and fixing bugs. The general idea is to be able to quickly gather the information and history, in a usable report, associate with using the NetBeans IDE. Thanks.
Consider reviewing the reporting system of Sparx System's Enterprise Architect for ideas.
Probably not for me. But which component should it go to?
