This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 147167, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

Build: NetBeans IDE 6.8 (Build 200912091457)
VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM, 14.1-b02, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.6.0_15-b03

GUEST: I downloaded additional plugins and also import from old version of Netbeans. Now for UML , palette all the icons shows message as unrecognized file

GUEST: I cliked an UseCase.modeling_pallete_item that appears in the UML palette, althoug when I pass over the mouse pointer, the hint says "Unrecognized file" and doesn't appears any icon for dragging an UseCase or an Actor or a Package.

wadechandler: I simply created a new Use Case Diagram, and the palette was broken. Underneith the Palette all things show up like UseCase.modeling_palette_item, and the UML module is just useless now. I'll try to delete the diagram and see if it will work that time.

GUEST: I am trying to create a UML model but when I try to add anything from the palette nothing happens.

3. Select item in palette, which already  looks strange (eg. label: "Class.modeling_palette_item" with tooltip "Unrecognized file")

maitrikgpanchal: i m not able to design uml diagrams and i m not getting palette for it.

moilejter: Created UML project, created new class diagram, opened palette.  Items in palette show as text, not icons.  Dragging an item to the canvas failed.
