Description Jaroslav Tulach 2010-03-31 05:15:28 UTC
These days I am trying to find out what class in my big application is touching various files on disk. I've end up with adding various breakpoints into methods, but this approach is fragile (I need to synchronize conditions of all these breakpoints) and not ultimate (I may forget about some methods).

I would be perfect to have an "I/O breakpoint". That would attach to all the File, FileXYZStream, etc. methods. It would allow "read, write, both" mode. One could also set a condition on the name of the file, to filter only those files that are interesting.
