changing a string constant in Matisse to a bundle based internationalized value is too hard. The opened dialog does not pre-create a key name.

What do you mean by "pre-create a key name" ? You have a chance to set key name as you want in Tools | Internationalize | Internationalize ....so ?

please look at the attached screenshot. The key is empty.
