Description Jiri Kovalsky 2011-07-28 11:19:42 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.0.1 (Build 201107211357)
Java: 1.7.0; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.0-b17
System: Linux version 2.6.35-22-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; cs_CZ (nb)
Userdir: /home/cesilko/.netbeans/7.0

Linux cesilko-nb1 2.6.35-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Sun Sep 19 20:32:27 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Description:
============
Running uninstall.sh script works fine both on Ubuntu 11 and Linux Mint 10. However, when I try to uninstall NetBeans IDE from the Linux GUI (see attachment) it fails with the "Appropriate package was not found" error.

Steps to reproduce:
===================
1. Install NetBeans IDE on Linux Mint 10 using installer.
2. Invoke menu of the operating system and right click "NetBeans IDE 7.0.1" menu item under "Programming" folder.
3. Select "Uninstall" from the popup menu.
4. Provide system administrator's password and click "OK" button.
5. Uninstallation will fail because the application was probably not registered correctly.

The uninstallation is a feature of mintmenu. I hope there is a way to link NetBeans unsinstaller file to "Uninstall" item in menu but I don't see any way to do this via .desktop file now (http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html). Research is required.
