Description Geertjan Wielenga 2012-01-19 11:29:06 UTC
The non-printable characters should be shown by default in a very light shade of grey so I can leave the feature turned on all the time and barely notice it unless I specifically want to look at it.

I shouldn't need to configure that, that should be the default color for non-printable characters.

Also, non-pribtable characters do not use defined color inside strings, comments, etc.
I suggest to make them half-transparent (without color settings).
This would be grait! Right now my eyes are tired much of them.

Also, carrier return character (that is also an whitespace character) is not using the whitespace color definition

+1 for this to be fixed. All non-visible characters should be able to be styled together. Regardless of if it is in whitespace, within a comment, if its a space/tab/paragraph etc.

I would suggest the half-transparent suggestion would be great as default, but as long as all the non-visible characters are able to be styled together that would be my wish.

Thank you.

+1 for this to be fixed. It would be nice to make the carriage return symbol's color configurable as well as for others whitespaces.

The default color of non-printing characters should be light gray
But now it is with the body of a color.
Non-printing characters should be able to at least set the color alone.
Multiple TAB indented to show only one non-printing characters, I am not accustomed to.

+1 for this too.

We can change the color of whitespace characters (space & TAB) to gray in the syntax highlighting settings, but not the end of line character "\n" or "\r\n".
