The Code Completion Popup has some overzealous suggestions which do not work well with my coding style. It would be invaluable to provide further options to users to refine the suggestions that are presented. For example, every time I define a new variable in Java (e.g. lets call it "var"), the auto-completer will suggest that I place the type name afterwards, e.g. "varSet" or "varStrings". I think this "reverse Hungarian" suggestion is the single biggest offender of inappropriate completion suggestions, and it makes me turn off auto-popus because it is so distracting. But there are others. I feel I must turn off "Insert Single Proposals Automatically" because there are so many little suggestions of this nature which jar against my coding style. In summary: if the autocompleter had the same level of user preferences as the Hint framework then it would result in an incredible user experience! (It would also encourage a significant increase in the number of user-contributed completions - I know from experience how much of a nightmare the completer is to customise. I contributed the Java Excluder code).
