When install NetBeans 6.1 (netbeans-6.1-ml-javaee-windows) with JDK 1.7 on the machine, the following error is issued in a popup dialog box: Java SE Development Kit (JDK) was not found on this computer See attached image. Please fix 6.1.x thread to allow for 6.1 to be installed with JDK 7 on the machine. Thanks, Robert

no plans to fix in very old version
The current NetBeans IDE exam 1Z0-889 makes use of NetBeans 6.1. Therefore, if a test candidate wants to download and use NetBeans 6.1 after the installation of JDK 1.7... then everything *should* work just fine. This is not the case so test candidates will be scratching their heads just to get a functional studying environment setup. Yes, studying with the latest version(s) of NetBeans will suffice (and may be ideal) but there are a couple of 6.1 specific objectives that warrants a NetBeans 6.1 installation. Please fix this issue as I have described when it was opened.
