Description ecerichter 2013-03-06 03:08:28 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201303042300)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_13
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.7-b01

I know this is configurable, since when the light bulb turns on in JSP pages and in HTML files, I can set project HTML version/doc type.
But I can't find it in Project -> Properties.
I think this was never exposed, because I don't even remember to see this in previous versions.

I'm reporting as a defect but it would also fit as a improvement. Feel free to choose.
Without knowing a better place to report to, I'm posting against generic infrastructure, but would be a better place "Web project properties".

Kind regards,

Edson Richter

As was pointed out, in the editor you may choose the default html version for the files. As the only usage of this setting in by the editor itself I haven't created an UI for this in the project properties. I agree it should possibly be there, though not critical issue. I must admit I'm not sure who should do that - project properties UI owner or me? Davide? Anyway, turning to enhancement.

Currently, I see no way to actually set the default HTML version since the light bulb suggestions also don't have any effect. Am I missing something?

I'm trying with a standard Maven web project.
