For the Tomcat (and possibly GlassFish and other) versions of the "Add Server Instance" wizard, a server username and password is required, and the appropriate fields are in the wizard. However, for Tomcat the option is given to create the user if the specified user doesn't exist. In this case, the wizard needs a "verify password" field, since the password field is obscured and therefore more susceptible to tyypos like this one. If the GlassFish version also creates the specified user if it doesn't exist, it likewise needs a "verify" field.
GlassFish wizard is not creating new users in server. We use username and password only to access asadmin or REST interface. I already have some plans to redesign wizards in next release after 7.3.1 but I see no reason to have verify field for password there.
Yup, I wasn't sure about GlashFish. Can you reassign to whoever handles the Tomcat wizard?
Assigning to Petr Jiricka, he should know who is responsible for Tomcat plugin.
Oops, Petr Hejl. :)
