Description malcolm-murray 2013-07-04 14:57:58 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.3.1 (Build 201306052037)
Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.8.4 running on x86_64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_11
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.6-b04

I have hit a problem with my NetBeans installation. Althought it manages to open existing (mostly web) projects via the recent projects menu item, if I click the Open Project menu item the dialog box displays always shows folders and so I am unable to open the projects.

I hit this problem with my 7.3 installation, so upgraded just now to 7.3.1 but the problem is not fixed. My old 6.7 install still recognises the folders.

Earlier that day the IDE had been performing flawlessly. I did update java on the Mac in response to a System Upgrade prompt and am wondering if this is the issue? I am now running build 1.7.0_25-b15 on the Mac.

Any suggestions of what to do would be greatfully received. I searched the forums and googled netbeans issues but could not see any posts that described the problem exactly. The projects do all have a nbproject folder within them.

Malcolm.

To avoid this, in NetBeans you need to uncheck 'Maximize use of native look and feel' in Option > Miscellaneous > Windows (for details see issue 225525). Thank you for reporting
