This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 227071, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

Build: NetBeans IDE 7.4 (Build 201310111528)
VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, 23.25-b01, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.7.0_25-b15
OS: Mac OS X

arian: Upped my stuff to: -J-client -J-Xss2m -J-Xms1600m -J-Xmx2048m -J-XX:PermSize=1600m and I am still receiving lowperformance

Editing a ~1000 line php with mixed html content file typing is becoming slower and slower every time I move the scroll, click on a new location, and begin typing.  I never received the OSX "Spinning Pinwheel" waiting icon.  

Activity Montitor states that all System CPU is 93% free 11GB/16GB physical memory in use 80GB on my working disc (SSD) free and Netbeans is consuming around 1.12 GB of memory.

Editing a mixed php file with HTML, PHP and Javascript in it. The editor didn't respond for a while.
