Description mwishum 2014-03-24 21:30:12 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_51
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.51-b03

When I type "toConsoleLn(evt.getNewValue());" (where evt is PropertyChangeEvent and toConsoleLn() accepts a String) no error occurs ***On that line*** . It instead appears on line 1, saying "error: incompatible types: Object cannot be converted to String".
I understand the error and have corrected it, but the error was not helpfully placed. The line in question was 1779, inside a private class, if that matters.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
