when you write in CSS
*:not(input, textarea, [contenteditable])
 an error occured on the line

I think this is more of a enhancement, CSS Selectors 4 is draft now, so it is not anywhere near final version and could change. I've tried it with latest Firefox and Chrome and neither of them supports selector list in :not(), only simple selector.
