Until version 3.3.x maven changed it's execution from bat-style to cmd-style files. So Netbeans should first decide which version is installed external and then call mvn.bat or mvn.cmd.

Searching in this issue system is a mess... Thought that someone else already reported it, but haven't found anything with search words like: "Maven 3.3.x" or "Maven bat cmd". 

This system should be upgraded or replaced, it's kind of worthless for oracle.
