Description vani_r 2015-06-17 16:25:18 UTC
The catalog.xml.gz file that the Plugin Portal update center points to is missing the Ruby and Rails plugin ( is the URL that this Update Center points to. Although the Ruby and Rails plugin is verified for 8.0, it is not listed in the catalog, so I cannot install it through the Tools > Plugins interface in Netbeans.

The reason is simple. ZIP file contains a folder. According to instructions for publishing a new plugin [1], all NBM files must be at the root level of the .zip file. I have repackaged it and uploaded as new binary for 8.0, however it can't be verified, because I couldn't sign the plugin.

Can you please fix this Vani on your end?

Thanks, Jiri. Enebo, can you do this?
Comment 3 enebo 2015-06-18 16:19:05 UTC
I can certainly try. All the build code originally came from Jesse Glick when Oracle had decided to stop working on it themselves. So I think perhaps I need to look at whereever the zipping code is and change that? Then resubmit.

The thing is to sign all NBM and JAR files [1], ZIP them again and go to "My Plugins" [2], click "Edit" in 8.0 cell of Ruby and Rails plugin row and upload the new ZIP file.
