--Details--

- I was playing around this test case --> http://services.netbeans.org/synergy/client/app/#/case/1127/suite/1655/v/1
- I had two watches
- I tested with filters for 3-4 minutes
- Just wanted to finish debugger session
- My two watches disappeared from the Watches view
- When switching somewhere else and going back to the Watches view my watches were back

In issue #176528 this assert was added to prevent from NPE. But it was obviously not a real fix.
