Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201606200002)
Java: 1.8.0_92; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.92-b14
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_92-b14
System: Windows 10 version 10.0 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_CA (nb)
User directory: C:\Users\Gili\AppData\Roaming\NetBeans\dev
Cache directory: C:\Users\Gili\AppData\Local\NetBeans\Cache\dev

Repro steps:

1. Open attached project.
2. Notice that Netbeans annotates line 28 with a compiler error.
3. Compile the project (F11). Notice that the aforementioned error does not actually exist.

At first glance, it sounds as if the internal compiler needs to be updated.
