Given a default install
When going to Tools > Options > Editor > Spellchecker
The it should not be possible to remove the default dictionaries, at least not without a warning. It would also be nice to be able to see the mapping between dictionaries and files.

In my case the spellchecker did and does not work. I've tried to remove the old dictionary and later notices that default locale was off. I do not know how to get this working.
