Summary says it all, really. Practically every other diff tool I've used has had options to ignore upper/lower case differences and/or differences in white space when doing the comparison. This allows you to e.g. not have every single line highlighted just because tabs have been changed to spaces, and just see the lines with significant differences instead. Ideally, these would be check boxes on the diff window (next to the Next/Previous Difference buttons, maybe?) rather than having to go into the Built-in Diff Engine's properties in the Options window every time you want to toggle it on/off.
This is already fixed. Martine can you set it as fixed, please?
Scheduling for 4.2. It's not yet fixed.

Created attachment 36927 [details] diff with white space dropdown options
Using external diff tool, you can set whatever options you like on the command line. Our internal engine can ignore white spaces but does not support all fancy features of a dedicated diff tool. We could: 1) enhance internal diff engine with more options 2) make those option accessible right from the diff view
