I suggest you make it easier to change the default Java platform, given the rate of Java updates. It's a bit of a pain to have to edit the config file or the command line string each time.

Two possibilities:

1) On the main Java platform window, add a button which makes the selected platform the default.

2) On the window when adding a new JDK, add a button which makes the new one the default.

Possibly even better would be to add a further checkbox to make the default global or just for this user.

Note: in Windows you probably have to get admin privileges to do this, as the location of the config file is protected. I can't speak for other OSs.
