I was getting sick and tired of Intellij, so I thought to give netbeans another try. It seems that after opening my project it started with downloading/indexing the complete related nexus repositories, which hogged my computer for some time (well, I figured that I could expect that), but worse, it ends up using hunderds of gigabytes of disk space, which is really too much. It did all this without me requesting or permitting it. I had to manually clean up, and for now decided that this is even worse.
