In a new PHP project based on existing source I went to project properties and started refining a number of details. On Save the "Saving Project data" dialog hangs. X to exit that dialog does nothing, needed to brutally crash NB with Task Manager. It does not look like any data was lost.

The nbproject folder was set to be outside of the project source tree. But another nbproject folder was created within the project source tree anyway.

This issue seems to recur in different versions and with different details. Some tickets were closed as resolved/fixed and others marked as dupes. Please don't mark as a duplicate without confirmation that this indeed the same issue.
