Description s690716 2002-11-10 18:01:17 UTC
It would be useful to make the example forms accessible
and localize them. Also it would be good to note the Java
UI Guidlines (Naming of menu items, positions,
accelerators, ...)
Comment 1 Tomas Pavek 2002-11-11 13:47:08 UTC
It's a question what's the primary intention of the
examples, how complex they should be. Should they learn
the developers to design GUIs? Or show all possible
features? I'm not quite sure here...
Comment 2 Patrick Keegan 2002-11-11 14:21:57 UTC
This request sounds reasonable, and I think is related to issue 12004, which has been marked as fixed.
Ian, what do you think?
Comment 3 iformanek 2002-11-11 14:32:00 UTC
I agree, the samples should be example code which is written as a
blueprint - so basic accessibility and I18N should be there.
Comment 4 Patrick Keegan 2002-11-11 14:35:27 UTC
Is there anybody in particular we can assign this to?
Comment 5 Tomas Pavek 2002-11-11 14:52:49 UTC
I could do this if there's nobody else. But I have no idea
when I have time for this, so maybe let's the issue
unassigned for now?
Comment 6 Patrick Keegan 2003-02-14 23:54:41 UTC
Tomas, is this something you have time for now? :-)
Comment 7 Tomas Pavek 2003-02-17 09:10:00 UTC
I'll try to look at it this week. At least to do the
internationalization, the forms have already been made
accessible (not by me ;).
Comment 8 Patrick Keegan 2003-07-10 13:37:51 UTC
Just checking in on this. Tomas, do you have time to the I18n work on
the sample forms?
Comment 9 Tomas Pavek 2003-07-11 16:27:22 UTC
Would not be better to do this not now, but rather after integrating
with projects (form and i18n module)?
Comment 10 Irina Filippova 2010-02-17 08:31:40 UTC
Not sure whether this request is still valid. It was in the usersguide category. Anyway, reassigning to guibuilder for evaluation.
