I was using the "Find in Files" dialog and wondered what the Show All Details button would do. It displays its results in the Output window in the form of hyperlinks. This was unexpected, although, I'll admit I didn't know what to expect. What is the motivation for this feature? I would recommend removing it. If it is not removed, then the links in the output window should be changed. No need to link the entire text, just link the [<filename> at line <nn>, column <mm>] portion.
This issue will be tracked as a one of many suggestions to issue #33418 ("Redesign UI for displaying search results").
Accepted. I know some people wanted to be able to copy all occurences of the search string and that this functionality fulfilled their need. Probably the action (button) should be at least renamed?
I'm unsure if the issue below should be tracked as a part of this item or separately as it relates to the 'Show All Details' button. If you click show all details button and close the newly opened tab 'Output - Search Results', the 'Show all Details' button is disabled so you have to re-perform your search to open the Output tab again. Minor issue, but could be annoying if you closed the Output tab by accident. v 7.1.2

It's a separate bug, but no problem in this case. > If you click show all details button and close the newly opened tab 'Output - > Search Results', the 'Show all Details' button is disabled. It works fine for me in the current development build. It was fixed in 7.2, I think. By the way, I guess you don't want to remove the "Show All Details" button. Thank you for reporting.
There are users who use this feature, so it shouldn't be removed, I think. Closing this issue as WONTFIX for now.
