Description mvinar 2003-08-21 10:51:14 UTC
User problem:
Managing opened files is hard

User need:
The user needs to be able to navigate in a large
number of opened files easily

Product requirement:
Improve the Jump list capabilities to not only
record edits, but also places where the user
navigated, improve the discoverability of this
feature. Possibly implement back/forward
(Alt+arrows) functionality for jumping around.

Hack factor: 0 (it's already done)
Difficulty: 2 (depends on reliability/completeness of new ws)

And see eclipse 3.0 for a decent implementation.
Comment 4 David Simonek 2005-05-05 16:40:31 UTC
IMO it's fixed in 4.1. We have right hand drop-down list, Shift+F4 list,
Alt+arrows jumping, back/forward in editor, editor bookmarks.
Closing as fixed generally. Please file specific concrete issues if anything is
still not right and needs to be done.
