This needs to be resolved. At the moment default
search engine is not configurable. Ask phrebejk
for more info.

No, the refactoring stuff has higher priority now.

Can I make this a bug instead, seems like important issue for
localized nb.

added i18n at front of synopsis also for my internal tracking
