Currently users I add to contacts are displayed with their name pulled from the
server database. It should be possible to rename the user in contact list to
whatever I want. This is usual with my IM and I cannot do without it. This is P1
enhancement for me.

Reassigning to issues@collab. Collab Support plugin is not actively maintained.

Obsoleted in 6.7 by the newly introduced integration with Project Kenai, a
collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects,
which includes also a chat service.
