Select Find from somewhere. Go to the Type tab. Click on the first item in the
Types list. Hit the J key. This selects the first item in the list which
starts with J. However, you don't see the item in the viewable area. The list
doesn't "move". If you scroll using the mouse, you'll see the item is selected.

search ot tree view ...
Marian feel free to reassigne.
Comment 2 Marian Petras 2005-10-21 14:51:03 UTC
This is caused by JDK bug 4654916 ("JList and JTree should scroll automatically
with first-letter navigation), see
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4654916

It is fixed in JDK 1.5. I just checked it with JDK 1.5.0_05 and it works.

I will not make any workaround for JDK 1.4 - marking as WONTFIX.
Comment 3 dmocek 2006-01-18 17:51:29 UTC
I've switched to JDK 1.5 for running NB, so this is no longer a problem for me.
