Description athompson 2006-11-14 16:36:33 UTC
netbeans automatically sets the default java platform (used when creating new
projects) to whatever JDK is used to start the IDE. it would be nice if in the
Platform Manager you could set another JDK to the default.

this is especially important because there's no way to set it for other types of projects (like Maven projects).
Comment 3 Tomas Zezula 2007-09-20 11:00:34 UTC
Needs a change in every project type.
Milos, is there a reason why the maven project type doesn't have the platform selector?
Comment 4 Milos Kleint 2007-09-20 11:54:01 UTC
yes, there is a good reason
see #104974
this one is possibly a duplicate of that one.

If the problem is that the default project platform is not configurable separately from the IDE execution platform, this
is a duplicate of Issue #72359.
