Preconditions of test:

For the transparent selection there must be a XRender-Engine installed (default on Win and MAC)

Column and row header Status: Standard -
  • Open new spreadsheet document
  • Select cell B3:D8
  • Verify that the row and column header have changed their appearance according to the system selection color (on WinXP with the default scheme it is dark blue)
  • Change the system selection color
    • WinXP: Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced - Selected Item
    • MAC: System Preferences - Appearance - Highlight Color
    • SUSe Linux :
  • Verify that the system selection color is used on selected column and row header on the fly (without restarting OOo)
  • Close document
Transparent selection Status: Standard -
  • Open new spreadsheet document
  • Select cell B3:D8
  • If there is no XRender Engine on the system verify that the "old" selection mode is used (reversed color)
  • If there is a XRender Engine on the system verify that the selected cell are transparent in the system selection color
  • Change the system selection color
    • WinXP: Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced - Selected Item
    • MAC: System Preferences - Appearance - Highlight Color
    • SUSe Linux :
