The contents of the load url bar are different to the menu file;recent 
documents.

It is not possible to delete the contents of the load url bar. Neither the 
recent documents but that is a separate issue.

What id your exact OOo version? 2.3.1 ist too old.
In which way are they "different"? It may be a dup of issue 86867

The second reference is tracked with issue 14934.

Please search for duplicates before filing issues.

Currently it is intended that the "Load url" bar shows EVERY file which has been
touched by OOo file handling, which should of course not be the case in the
"recent documents" sub menu.

Yes related to quoted issues, which I see have yet to be completed???

This issue is about the difference between the two lists and the complete 
inability to manage content of these lists.

Version is irrelevant unless these issues are all resolved in latest version, 
it that case I will upgrade, otherwise no.
