Test file that I cannot update styles in master view none

Description philtroy 2009-03-19 05:40:32 UTC
While working with an impress document, I can no longer change one of the built
in styles - when I go to change the bullet symbol for the second outline level,
it changes the indentation of the first outline level.

I have run into similar problems with OO Writer - I believe it has to do with
going back and forth between OO and MSOffice.

It is version 3.0.1

I have a file but do not know where to upload it to.

If I change the outline 1 style indent when in view master style, it doesn't
adjust the indentation.

Please give a step by step description of how you change the bullet. Thanks.

I open the file

I select view, master, slide master from the menu

I select the second row (Second outline level)

I select format , bullets and numbering from the menu

I select level 2 from the customize tab

I change the character to U+25CF

I click on OK and OK

The bullet has not changed

Click to edit the outline text format is now indented a lot

This has been (and related problems in writer) has been driving me crazy - I
really like OO, but this problem makes it very hard to use.

Thanks . . .

Phil

I see the problem with the attached ppt-file.
When working with a new presentation, it works as designed
