Description lazaroid 2002-12-17 08:55:16 UTC
By this, I mean where one can type two characters on top of each other. This is
available in m$ word as an "inline equation", and in wordperfect under "format /
typesetting / verstrike". Specifically, I would like to be able to create a
superscript character over a centre dot.

Keep up the good work...

The typeover would ideally be placed in the Character dialog box,
under the position tab, as a fourth kerning option, i.e. Default,
Expanded, Condensed, Typeover. Alternatively, the Condensed kerning
parameter could be re-written to go higher than 2.0 pt, allowing the
characters to overlap.

I suggest that the simplest option would be to incease the allowable limits for
condensing tracking. The current default for scrolling is 1 point, which is
absurd (see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=17732).

Instead, make the value scroll in increments of 1% and permit a maximum of 100%.
This is, in fact, more than enough for overstrike, as very few 10 point
characters in any font are 10 points wide. This will also be sufficient for
expanded text — 72 point text could be expanded by 1"

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
