OOo hasn't got a filter for ppsx. Reassigned. Issue 103781 looks like a duplicate of this one. Generating the list of filters with the Basic script found at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Framework/Article/Filter I see a "Impress MS PowerPoint 2007 XML AutoPlay" filter in OOo 3.1.1. Still .ppsx files cannot be opened automatically, the "Filter Selection" dialog always appear. Now, if you select "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 XML" in the dialog (that is, when you eventually manage to find the right entry, because it shows tens of filters in random order) then the document is displayed correctly. So would it not be possible to just reuse the .pptx filter for .ppsx as well? The really weird thing, and my true problem, is that I couldn't find any way to have OOo open a .ppsx filter programmatically using loadComponentFromURL, not even setting the above "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 XML" as "FilterName" in the MediaDescriptor. As mnasato says above, ppsx files work if you use the "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 XML" filter when opening in Impress (if you can find it in the shockingly badly presented list.) That being the case, please make it automatically work and associate .ppsx files with Impress on installation, as is done for the .pptx extension. (In reply to mnasato from comment #4) > Now, if you select "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 XML" in the dialog > then the document is displayed correctly. So would it not be > possible to just reuse the .pptx filter for .ppsx as well? Sorry, this method does not work with AOO 4.0.1 Try to open a ppsx or a pptx Choose the "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 XML" filter in the dialog Calc open a blank sheet *** Issue 103781 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** |
