I can confirm this on OO.o 3.1.0 (Linux).
How to reproduce:
1. Create a new empty presentation.
2. Go Format-->Page-->Background. Select a gradient and click OK.
3. Export to PDF and open it.

Comment 7 deye 2009-05-09 21:17:55 UTC
Apparently, this bug is connected with changes made to linewidths in regard to
antialiasing. This did not happen in OO.o 3.0.1.
In 3.0.1 lines were exported differently than in 3.1.0.
For example line "0.001 cm" was rendered as if it were a "0 cm" width line, that
is a default (1 pixel width?) line. Now, in 3.1, this line is almost invisible
both in PNG and PDF. It indicates the difference between 3.0.1 and 3.1.0.
If you open this pdf in Draw (with pdfimport extension installed), you will see
invisible (or transparent?) lines with zero (=default) width. But background is
white and you can see thin white circles.
Comment 8 ace_dent 2009-05-09 23:37:22 UTC
This is a side effect of other problems in how gradients are exported.
I would suggest a duplicate of Issue 65970 ...
Comment 9 deye 2009-05-10 11:00:32 UTC
Sorry, I was wrong.
Version 3.1.0 and 3.0.1 give the same result when exporting to PDG. Attachments
310.pdf and 301.pdf are for 3.1.0 and 3.0.1 respectively.

This is a duplicate of:
Issue 65970 - Gradients have artifacts in pdf and slideshow

I would suggest closing and combining efforts...

Yes, would be great to close this one and continue to discuss about this in
issue n°65970 (as I did)
