I have two scanners, a Microtek ScanMaker X12USL (SCSI) and a HP Photosmart 
C4480 using hplip (USB, hpaio).

In the dialog Insert->Picture->Scan->Select Source I try to select between the 
two using "Device used". I always only can get a preview and the device info 
of the Microtek, no matter which one of the two devices (micotek2:/dev/sg6 or 
hpaio:/...) I select.

When I ignore that and try to insert the picture using Scan, still only the 
Microtek is used.

Once, when switching virtual desktop while the Select Source dialog was 
active, OOO even crashed, and I had to kill it.

Using e.g. xsane selecting either the HP or the Microtek works.
