@dlaudien Any reasons why you suggest that only for SUM? Why not also for AVERAGE and others? Still Reproducible with "AOO 4.0.0-Dev – German UI / German locale [AOO400m2(Build:9701) - Rev. 1493305 Rev.1491054 2013-06-14]" on WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", Common 4.0-dev User Profile In attached _Sample document Cell ranges A1:A10 B1:B10 will be shown with different colored borders when you double click C11, what contains a formula. These colored range borders will disappear immediately if you start to dit the formula, it does not matter whether you edit in cell or input line. Indeed, it would be great to see these borders marking affected cells "just in time" when editing formula, but I am afraid that will not be an easy hack. Created attachment 80883 [details]
