Non-equidistant X-values none

Description risch 2009-08-15 12:16:13 UTC
If I have a data table with non-equidistant X-values, I find no way to have
chart interpret my X-values as values on an X-axis instead of interpreting each
single data array as single category.
In the sample attachment, I want the upper chart to respect the distance
between the x-values - something similar to the chart below (but with the
connecting lines...)

You have to use the chart type "XY (Scatter)" to get a value x-axis. Please read
the help on chart types. Please use a forum, mailing list or newsgroup for
further assistance. http://support.openoffice.org

Ok, its a seperate chart type that seems to work "only" with points and lines.
Wouldn't it be an enhancement to allow the scatter to be visualized as area
chart?

Another idea for an new charttype.

I created issue 104749 to reflect the feature request for a new xy area chart type.
Thanks for the report!
