OS: windows vista home edition
Ram -4 GB -64 bit operating system.

steps to replicate the bug:
1.create the table.
2.select the column.
3.go to window table select any color from the color option
4.then again go to window table select split vertically option.
5.then it displays the two different colors for each cell.

I can confirm the problem with OOo 3.1.1 FR and DEV300_m60 under ubuntu 8.04.

If you split a colored cell in two cells, the first one keep this color and the
second has the same color as initially chosen in the table model (Table Design tab).
Changed version for the more recent one in which the problem occurs.
