What I did:

opened an odt document (tt4.odt) that was last edited with OOo 3.1.1.
initiated saving as XP .doc type of document.

What I expected:

Have a tt4.doc saved and opened in Writer.

What I got:

No tt4.doc.
Dialog opened "OOo-dev Document Recovery" with tt4.odt in list to be recovered.

Note:
(1) This can be repeated, it happens any time.
(2) Writer in OOo 3.1.1 with Debian Linux has no problem to convert that document.

I can confirm it.

It also works with vanilla 3.1.1. So it is a regression.
