Description meywer 2009-10-30 12:57:30 UTC
open a calc-table
go into a cell
click insert-object-formula
write something
esc
write text to the same cell

the text won't be after the formula, but cover it
Comment 1 meywer 2009-10-30 13:16:37 UTC
also the formulas are printed to low - they cross the lower cell-frame-line (at
least at the monitor)
Comment 2 Regina Henschel 2009-10-30 13:43:32 UTC
It is not possible in Calc to anchor something to the text, but you can anchor
it only to cell or to page. In addition Calc hasn't got any wrapping property
for objects.
Such handling requires a totally different concept for Math-formulas and for the
possible content of cells.

Therefore it is not a defect, but a feature request.

I just found out, that there is missing „anchor - as character“.

If this is a defect or a feature depends on what one expects.

As user I expect the anchor-as-character-behavior as default like in Writer - so
I recognise this as a defect.

The developer won't expect, what he didn't code, so he will see it as a feature.

Of course I write a bug-report as a user for a developer. So its both - defect
and feature :)

A a math-formula is part of text (just special formatted text) it should be
anchored as character.
I tried to put formulas only to empty cells, but after sorting the table they
appeared at absolutely wrong places...
