Description dawnlight 2009-12-03 14:54:49 UTC
I think, as an RTL user, that it is nice to have two carets when my position is
where the text changes directionality.

For example, in the sentence "I love the whole ברי××” and then some", when the
caret is placed before the character "ב", it is also present after the space
which is after the word "whole". So the positions of the carets, represented by
the vertical line would be like "I love the whole |ברי××”| and then some".

Catch my drift?

The main logic to this is that the caret really is in two places. It also gives
the user the visual image of what he should be imagining otherwise.

Clarified the subject line. Also tried to add a keyword "BiDi"... which is not yet approved by the QA team.

setting appropriate target and assigning to the user experience alias for needed
input on this enhancement.
